Lord thank You for every good and perfect gift You have given me these 58+ years. Even when I didn't know You, You were there. You were always, and will always, be there. I love my life, I love my family, and its all because of You Jesus. I lift these empty hands high, its such a small sacrifice.

Thank You Jesus for winning my freedom. Praise You for insuring my victory. I glory at the scent of Your love and grace which now adorns my life. When I'm discouraged in my walk, Jesus, help to just keep on spreading Your aroma. When I'm downhearted because it appears no one is listening to Your Word or responding to Your invitation, help me to just keep on praying and marching. Because no matter what, the victory parade just keeps on marching towards Heaven's gates. In Your precious name I pray, Amen.

My greatest hope in this life is that it will be said of me that I, my sons, my wife, family and friends, walked with and pleased God.

Have you ever stolen anything, even something small? I have, and that makes me a thief. Have you ever told a lie, even a small one? I have, that makes me a liar. Have you ever used God’s name as a cuss word? I have, that makes me a blasphemer. Have you ever looked at a man or woman other than your spouse with lust? I have, that makes me an adulterer in my heart. Have you ever hated anyone? I have, that makes me a murderer according to Jesus. Have you always put God first before everything and everyone? I haven’t, that makes me an idolater.  You see I have broken every one of the 10 Commandments and I was guilty in God’s eyes. Was? Yes was. I accepted Jesus as my Savior and asked Him to forgive me of all of my sin and failures, and at that moment it was determined that the fine that I was required to pay, my eternal death, was already paid by Jesus when he sacrificed His life to pay my fine, giving me eternal life. I am far from perfect but I am on the path to heaven by not only believing the words of God but by wanting to live the words of God. I am not yet the man I want to be but thank God I am not the man I used to be! To God be all the glory!

This is a true saying, and everyone should believe it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-and I was the worst of them all. 1Timothy 1:15

If you don't know how to get to an address you might want to go to mapquest. If you don't know how to make a pineapple upside down cake you might want to read a cookbook. If you don't want to go to hell and you want to get to heaven you had better read the Word of God.

Photo: At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone.
As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of your life. Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we don't realize they vacated their seats.
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.
The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.
I wish you a joyful journey on the train of life. Reap success and give lots of love. More importantly, thank God for the journey. Lastly, I thank you for being one of the passengers on my train.

The Titanic

The story of the Titanic has incredibly close parallels to the biblical plan of salvation. Just as the great pleasure ship struck an iceberg and sank, this great world—with all its inhabitants—is slowly sinking into the cold grip of death. As with the Titanic, where only those passengers who believed that they were in impending danger looked to the lifeboats, so only those who believe that they are in mortal danger will look to the Lifeboat of the Savior, Jesus Christ. The great “iceberg” that will take the world to an icy grave is the Moral Law—the Ten Commandments.
Here is the evidence that we are sinking: Jesus said that if we look with lust, we commit adultery in our heart. No one who has had sex outside of marriage, or any liar, or any thief will enter heaven. The Bible says that if we hate someone, we are guilty of murder. We fail to put God first. We make a god in our image. We break all the Commandments. If we stay with the “ship,” we will perish on the Day of Judgment, when all of our sins come out as evidence of our guilt. God, however, is rich in mercy and doesn’t want anyone to go to hell. He made a way for us to be saved. Jesus Christ, the One whom the Bible calls the “Captain of our salvation,” gave His life so that we could have a place in the lifeboat. He took our punishment upon Himself, suffering on the cross for us. We broke God’s Law, but He paid our fine. Then He rose from the dead, defeating death. The moment we repent and trust in Him alone for our eternal salvation, God will forgive us and grant us the gift of eternal life.
Don’t hesitate. You may wait until it’s too late! It was reported that some of the lifeboats that left the Titanic early were only half full. Many more on board could have been saved, but they refused to believe that the great “unsinkable” ship was sinking. They perished because their faith was misguided. Don’t be like them. Believe the gospel. Repent and trust Jesus Christ today ...and God will never let you down.
